Commercial Real Estate/Development Law Attorney – Fort Myers

Pavese Law Firm is seeking a full-time associate for our Fort Myers office to practice primarily in the fields of commercial real estate and developer representation.

Applicants should expect to be working on commercial real estate transactions, including the representation of developers, lenders and equity investors in various joint venture agreements.

  • The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years’ of commercial real estate and development experience.
  • Must be detailed-oriented and have a strong work ethic.

REAL ESTATE PARALEGAL/LEGAL ASSISTANT

Pavese Law Firm is currently recruiting for a full-time Real Estate Paralegal/Legal Assistant for our Fort Myers office. This position supports the Real Estate Practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate due diligence for a variety of real estate transactions.
  • Review and summarize title commitments, surveys, and title objection letters.
  • Work closely with title companies and attorneys to clear title and obtain title policies.
  • Prepare and file a variety of documents including deeds, mortgages, and memoranda of leases, bills of sale and transfer declarations of covenants.
  • Prepare closing checklists and coordinate the closing process for various transactions.
  • Prepare and distribute closing documents under the direct supervision of an attorney.
  • Daily time entry, filing and clerical tasks.
  • Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements for the position.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years real estate experience, preferably in a law firm, title company or similar setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects.
  • Effective interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, professional staff and peers.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

 

LEGAL ASSISTANT – LITIGATION 

Pavese Law is currently recruiting for a full time Legal Assistant for our Fort Myers office.  This position will support an attorney in our Litigation Department.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Must have 3 years prior secretarial or like experience with a law office or local governmental agency.
  • Support attorneys in connection with all aspects of case management.
  • E-Filing in State and Federal Courts.
  • Submit intake information, conflicts checks, and open & close files.
  • Maintain attorney’s calendar, tickler, including scheduling and time entry.
  • Maintain confidential information, files, records, legal documents and reports.
  • Experience preferred in navigating case management software (Client Profiles, n/k/a Aderant Total Office).
  • Preparing, proofreading, revising and finalizing legal documents as directed by attorney.
  • Effective organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects.
  • Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with clients, opposing counsel, courts and other agencies.
  • Maintain professional (business casual) appearance and attitude.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
