FLORIDA CONDO LAW TASK FORCE UPDATE
The Florida Bar RPPTL Condominium Law and Policy Life Safety Advisory Task Force published its advisory recommendations for changes to condominium law and condominium operation on October 12, 2021 in response to the Champlain Towers South collapse that took the lives of 98 individuals in June of this year in Surfside, Florida. The task force dedicated its report to the memory of those lost, their families, loved ones and friends, as well as the first responders who worked to rescue and recover those lost in the tragedy. The following is a summary of the Task Force’s recommendations.
