Ryan N. Swick


Ryan N. Swick joined Pavese Law Firm as an associate in 2020. He primarily focuses his practice in the areas of Community Association and Planned Development Law, Construction Law, and Real Estate Development.

Mr. Swick advises national homebuilders, contractors, regional developers, homeowners’ and condominium associations, and commercial landlords on wide and diverse range of issues, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • General legal counsel regarding the statutes, rules, and regulations for community associations in Florida
  • Preparing and negotiating leases from both landlord and tenant perspectives
  • Contract negotiation and disputes
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts with vendors and contractors
  • Condominium and homeowners’ association litigation and alternative dispute resolution
  • Disputes arising from maintenance and repair of common areas
  • Negotiation and drafting of commercial leases
  • Notices of construction defects under Chapter 558, Florida Statutes.
  • Construction-related litigation and mediation

Prior to joining Pavese, Mr. Swick practiced construction litigation in Miami, where he represented general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and condominium associations in construction litigation and contract matters.

Mr. Swick obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science, Economics, and Public Policy from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He went on to obtain a Juris Doctorate and LL.M. in Real Property Development from the University of Miami School of Law. During his time in law school, Mr. Swick was a member of the Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board.
